FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the KickBot tipping system.

What are the fees?

We aim to keep our fees competitive by only applying them to tips, without any payout fees. For each tip, we charge a 6% platform fee, along with 2.9% plus $0.30 to cover payment processing fees. In total, 8.9% plus $0.30 is deducted from each tip. This 6% helps us cover additional fees related to payments such as fraud monitoring, dispute fees, transfer fees, international payment fees, and more.

On a $5 tip you will receive about $4.26.

What happens if there is a chargeback?

In the event of a chargeback the full tip amount will be deducted from your account while we fight the claim. If we win the dispute the money will be returned to your account. If we lose the dispute the money will not be returned. We automatically submit evidence and fight every chargeback, as well as cover the $15 fee associated with each claim.

When do I get paid?

Payouts occur on the 15th of every month, although holidays or weekends can effect this schedule. Tips have a 7 day pending period, so any tips received from the 8th to the 15th of a month will be paid out the next money. Payouts are automatic and no action is required to initiate them.

Can I refund tips?

Yes, you can refund tips from your earning page. However, we do not recommend doing this frequently. In the event of a refund we reverse our 6% platform fee, but unfortunately the 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee cannot be reversed so it is deducted from your balance. This means refunding a $3 tip will cost you $3.39 to ensure the tipper receives the full amount they paid.

What TTS voices can be used for tips?

All KickBot TTS and AI TTS voices can be used for tips. On your tip payment page configuration you can select which voices viewers can leave tips in.

What happens if I reject a tip?

If a tip is rejected before its played our pending transaction will be canceled and the tipper will not be charged. If a tip is rejected while its being played the transaction will be captured and you will receive the tip amount. To help prevent chargebacks, we do not recommend rejecting tips while they are being played unless it is necessary.

Can viewers see my personal information?

No. Viewers will not be able to view any of your personal information and you will not be able to view any of their personal information. KickBot acts as a middleman between streamers and tippers.
